< Mike Roy Educational Comics

Remember those great educational comics from your youth exploring everything from stop, drop and roll to traffic safety? Try out this great Mike Roy Educational Comic Sampler.

Included are four of Mike Roy's contributions to Discovery Comics. Adventures on Santa Maria, produced for the Christopher Columbus Quincentenary Jubilee in 1992, tells the Columbus story and relates it to different areas of exploration and discovery today. Adventures on Space Station Freedom, set only slightly in the future, tells of four young Science Fair winners and their amazing trip to Space Station Freedom on the Space Shuttle. Friends Keep Friends Alive, produced for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, has kids talking about drinking in real life situations ("TV commercials make drinking look like fun." "Throwing up, acting stupid and getting headaches aren't my idea of fun!"). Finally, Ojos por el Mundo (Eyes for the World), produced by the American Optometric Association, explores the signs of early vision problems, looks into protecting your eyes and has one of those really cool cutaway views of eye insides. Mike Roy Educational Comic Sampler - $8.00 (+ $1.50 shipping and handling).
