World Domination, Interlude

Production was trucking along briskly on the Aazurn Publishing highway until something incredibly cool stood in the way, hand upraised, palm forward with a stop! gesture. With skid marks and a screech, "Seductions," "Adam Among the Gods" and a currently unwritten and unnamed comic book project braked to a halt to allow me time for something awesome. Let me tell you about it.
3 Boys Productions released the first issue of "Students of the Unusual" in July of 2004 to rave reviews and reader acceptance unheard of in a comics community skeptical of new projects. It seems the time was right for a Twilight Zone/Outer Limits styled anthology comic with new millennium sensibilities. I was lucky enough to be chosen to color and letter "Under the Bridge," a troll yarn drawn by the incomparable Jorge Calamato. Visitors to my section of www.comicartistsdirect.com have seen the page two splash of the bridge and two main characters I spent the next two years coloring and lettering in various stories retelling and updating Florida legend.
Okay, here's the announcement. Coming soon will be the "Giant Sized Extra Credit Special #1," a comic-long story with the Florida gang you've come to know these two years, featuring a fortune telling tumor, a shape shifting Indian maiden, just about every major character from "Students of the Unusual," a mysterious new character and a surprising death (That is, besides the several that always happen in the course of telling a horror story).
So, see, I have an excuse for putting off the Aazurn Publishing one-shot comics curious fans and wild-eyed creditors are demanding. This is my first full-comic story colored and lettered for 3 Boys Productions and I'm proud to say, upon seeing the first proof, Writer/Publisher/Student Body President Terry Cronin! was sufficiently blown away. I've seen John Stevens' fully painted cover for this one and am, also, blown away. If we can all pull ourselves together, the "Giant Sized Extra Credit Special #1," a great jumping-on point for new readers, will be available soon. I can hear you lamenting, "But what of YOUR projects? When will be able to thrill to the pulse-pounding excitement that is Aazurn Publishing?" Don't worry. I'm back on track. Revisit '65, '75 and '05 (That's 1505) with three graphics pencilled by the brilliant Bill Bryan and brought to color by me with a new technique that's sure to turn the comics world on its ear.
